‘The Success Stories club is the nicest, most encouraging, inspirational and culturally-enhancing gathering of genuinely talented artists I have ever encountered during a life time spent sharing words in public houses, church halls, Masonic halls, town halls and the street corners,’ says award-winning performance poet and raconteur Pennant Roberts.

If you are very busy though, you can watch a 30 second version here.
We pride ourselves on being the friendliest storytelling club in the land, sharing great stories, great food and great company.
Founded by storyteller Sharon Richards, the club meets monthly in Sale, Cheshire and welcomes storytellers, poets, musicians of all levels of ability and experience. Everyone is welcome to a slot, if they wish to perform.
For those who just want to relax and watch there is an equally warm welcome because what would a storytelling club be without its lovely listeners?
The audience decides who wins the trophy for the best performance of the night and a place in our annual Storyteller of the Year contest.
See Forthcoming Events for dates.
Stories start at 7.30.
We very much look forward to seeing you. A warm welcome is guaranteed.

Hi there. I’m quite new to the club, and it has changed my life. I won the Story Slam last Monday, and I am still buzzing. Don’t even hesitate, come along to perform, or listen. You are guaranteed a wonderful evening.

Thank you Sharon,
,I am really very excited about the discovery of your story club.I have never been to a creative writing event but would love to come to the July session. As Marlene might have mentioned to you I write for fun and have done so for a few years.I have never ‘ performed’ but willing to give it a go on the Monday.I enjoy a giggle so try to let people ,usually my friends, ,to have a laugh at my expense/ ditties.😄😄 I reiterate though that they are light hearted not academic.
I hope the group enjoy them too.
