“The devil doesn’t come in a red cape and pointy horns; he comes as everything you’ve ever wished for.”
And, as author and storyteller Baylor Barbee said: “If the devil isn’t trying to trip you up it’s because he’s already got you.”
He appears in countless tales and in many guises so, if you fancy a night of intriguing tales about Old Scratch himself, join us on Monday 10th July at 7.00 for a 7.30 start.
Poets, musicians and storytellers all compete for the audience vote and the trophy for the best performance of the night.
We meet at the Moorfield Pub, Marsland Road, Sale M33 3NW where you can enjoy good food, good wine and good company, then vote for your favourite performer and send them home with the winner’s trophy and a glad heart.
If you would like to join us for supper, just order and pay for your meal at the bar, let them know you are with the storytelling club and the meals will all appear at the same time during the break.
Venue: the Moorfield Hotel, Marsland Road, Sale M33 3NW.
All comers welcome to tell a tale (8 minutes max, please) or just relax and listen.
Everyone is welcome to a slot to perform but, equally, our listeners are worshipped!
Tickets cost £6 on the door. To join us for supper, just order and pay at the bar separately and let them know you are with the club so the meals all get served at the same time.
