Good for the Soul – Tea and Tales with Macmillan Cancer Support

The Success Stories Club hosted a fabulous tea party this weekend with Macmillan Cancer Care… all in the spirit of doing something  to ‘Make Sale Smile’. The funding came from the very generous ‘Safer Grants’.

The tea!

The tea was fabulous…all home made by the lovely Rina and Arti from Sale’s Amphora cafe.

Anyone affected by cancer, either directly or indirectly, was invited to apply for tickets. We had a full house of lovely people all intrigued by the idea of an afternoon of ‘Tea and Tales’.

As usual, the Success Stories tellers were on fine form, receiving lots of audience applause, whoopin’ and hollerin’ in appreciation of their funny, uplifting tales…each one chosen to fit the theme ‘Good for the Soul’.

Here they are after the event. From left to right: Colin Rowan, Sharon Richards, Mark Saperia and Pennant Roberts.

All in all, a great day. We can’t wait to do it all over again.  We are currently applying for funding to repeat the event so, if you would like a place on the next one, put your name down on the list by calling Karen at the Macmillan Cancer Support centre, telephone number: 291 4875.

A flower with a flower!                   We would love to see you there!
